Lauren Sang-Hee Owens

Lauren Sang-Hee Owens joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2011 after clerking at Dreyer Boyajian LLP throughout law school. Ms. Owens is experienced in handling all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts and focuses her practice in the areas of criminal defense and a variety of personal injury matters. Ms. Owens has represented individuals in government investigations and criminal and civil proceedings in a wide range of matters, including allegations of fraud and securities violations. She also represents whistleblowers asserting claims under the federal and New York State False Claims Acts involving the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

A graduate of the University at Albany (summa cum laude), Ms. Owens received her law degree from Albany Law School of Union University where she was the recipient of the Constance M. Jones Memorial Scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Owens was the Executive Director of the Albany Law School Moot Court Board and competed in both the Irving R. Kaufman Securities Law Memorial Competition and the Dean Jerome Prince Evidence Memorial Competition. In 2011, she was inducted into the Albany Law School Chapter of the National Order of Barristers.
